FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Atlanta, GA – Society is restless.
The cracks are showing—division widening, corporate greed reaching higher, and communities struggling to hold themselves together. Into this fractured landscape steps HeyDreamer, an Atlanta-based alt-rock band whose music echoes the chaos and tells its story. Their upcoming concept album, Celebrated Destruction of Paradise, is a 13-chapter narrative about collapse and survival, rebellion and uncertainty. On October 3rd, the band releases the title track (Celebrated Destruction of Paradise) with a cinematic music video arriving a week later on October 10th.
Like every chapter in the record, Celebrated Destruction of Paradise is a vignette in a larger world. This release marks Chapter 5 in the story, but HeyDreamer is telling it out of order—Tarantino-style—starting in the middle, where tension and fracture are at their peak. The lyrics describe Eden burning, champagne glasses lifted by the powerful as flames consume the sky. Greed, denial, and manipulation push humanity past its tipping point, until the desperate finally rise against those who betrayed them. It’s an allegory for today’s polarized world—one where wealth is hoarded, truth is fractured, and survival feels uncertain.
“What inspired this album is what’s going on in the world right now, in the country right now,” says Dustin Williams, bassist. “It’s very much a statement, a reflection, and a social commentary.”
The song’s urgency is amplified in its video, directed by Mark Sunderland, whose credits include The Suicide Squad, Black Widow, and the feature film Dementium. Sunderland raves about the project:
“HeyDreamer’s sound invokes such strong imaginative imagery, our team was thrilled to be entrusted with interpreting the dystopian-inspired visuals. Matthew Bish’s gorgeous cinematography takes center stage, providing the perfect backdrop for a killer track.”
Fans will get their first chance to experience it at a release party and early screening on October 3rd at the Line Creek Brewing Bus Barn in Fayetteville, GA.
At the heart of the project is Melody Kiser, HeyDreamer’s lead singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter. Together with the band, she has spent more than two years shaping Celebrated Destruction of Paradise, their second full-length album.
Behind HeyDreamer’s rising profile are two industry veterans: Will Turpin, bassist of multi-platinum rock icons Collective Soul, and Brian Collins, a renowned CMA-artist and songwriter. Through their company Real People Music, they signed HeyDreamer and are co-producing the album at Real 2 Reel Studios in Jonesboro, GA.
“Melody is a true artist,” says Turpin. “Her musicianship is rich and performances are captivating! With HeyDreamer, Melody and the band standout as musical pioneers in a genre where it can seem like it’s all been done before.”
Collins echoes the sentiment:
“Working with Melody Kiser and HeyDreamer in the studio is something else. They’ve got this amazing mix of tricks that keeps the energy high and unpredictable. I really believe in this band; their creativity, musicianship, and drive are unmatched. It’s clear they’re ready to chase their dreams and go as far as they can.”
That drive is being matched by fan support. The band’s Kickstarter campaign, launched on September 15th, surpassed $15,000 in its first 48 hours—halfway to their $30,000 goal—and was chosen as a staff-favorite “Project We Love.” It’s proof that listeners are connecting with the urgency and power of HeyDreamer’s message.
For the band, this project is more than music. “My dream outcome with this project is to bring groups together—to hear each other’s perspectives and come together to try to bring a change,” says Melody Kiser, lead singer and guitarist.
Keyboardist Donnie Gee adds: “This is more than an album. It’s a living, breathing story—and we want our fans in it.”
And David Williams, drums, underscores its emotional depth: “I want people to feel both the heartbreak and the beauty. This record is about the tension between destruction and creation—and the resilience to keep going.”
With Celebrated Destruction of Paradise, HeyDreamer isn’t just telling their own tale. They’re holding up a mirror to the society we all live in: polarized, crumbling, and yet still burning with the possibility of something better.
On October 3rd, the celebrated destruction of paradise begins.
