Hello Dreamers! It's Melody from HeyDreamer. Well, this last year has been one of the toughest years of our lives so far... and it seems as though our debut album If You're Out There, which we released on February 28th of 2020, was a trial run for developing our style and sound. When the shutdown of the United States began in March of 2020, we were forced to cancel our tour and retreat into isolation for the safety of everyone. Obviously, this came with numerous challenges, doubts, and hardships... but we never gave up our dream.

Once it became safe to do so, we got back into the studio and began producing and developing the songs for our next project with Will Turpin, the bassist and founding member of Collective Soul. We've worked so hard on crafting and recording these songs, and as we are drawing near completion of the project, we are beyond proud of our team and our music. These songs are written from the heart. They were meticulously crafted over several months of isolation (haha), and they really show our range as musicians and artists. 

This year has also brought personal change to HeyDreamer. Jasper Joyner, founding member, moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to pursue a musical journey elsewhere. Although we are sad to see him leave, we know that his immense creative talents will be a gift to us all for the rest of our lives.

This year has been tough in so many ways, but we are beyond grateful for the opportunity to slow down and really take in what's most important in life. We couldn't have created the art that we have without the hardships of the pandemic. Most importantly, we learned how amazing and dedicated our fans are -- you guys never left our side, even though, to us, it felt like we hadn't had the chance to prove ourselves and our music yet. Without you all, there's no way that we would be continuing our journey and creating new, better music.
